Overview: Is New Era Crypto Exchange Legit?

New Era Crypto Exchange, also marketed as New Era Exchange and operating through qbguye.com and neweraex.com, has been issued investor alerts by both the BC Securities Commission and the Alberta Securities Commission. The BCSC alert was published April 28, 2026. The platform is not registered to trade or advise in securities in British Columbia, Alberta, or anywhere else in Canada.

Investigators have established a direct connection between New Era Crypto Exchange and BG Wealth Sharing Ltd, a previously flagged platform warned against by the ASC in February 2026. New Era Crypto Exchange appears to be a rebrand or continuation of that same operation, adopting a new name and web presence to continue targeting victims after BG Wealth was exposed. The Washington State Department of Financial Institutions also issued a fraud alert against this operation in February 2026.

The platform functions as a multi-level marketing Ponzi scheme combined with a fake trading signal service. It falsely associates itself with D.E. Shaw Group, a legitimate and prominent New York-based investment firm, to lend credibility to its trading claims. D.E. Shaw has no association with New Era Crypto Exchange and should not be confused with this operation.

The platform presents a FinCEN MSB registration certificate as supposed proof of regulatory standing. FinCEN registration is a basic reporting requirement for money services businesses and confers no authorization to operate an investment fund or exchange in Canada.

Report to RecoverFunds.ca if you have dealt with New Era Crypto Exchange, New Era Exchange, or BG Wealth Sharing.

How New Era Crypto Exchange Operates

Recruitment via social media: Victims are recruited through LinkedIn, WhatsApp groups, and Instagram by individuals who cultivate a friendship or romantic connection before introducing the platform. This is a pig-butchering recruitment model in which the initial relationship is manufactured to build trust before the financial pitch is made.

The trading signal pitch: After trust is established, the recruiter introduces New Era Crypto Exchange as an exclusive platform offering access to trading signals sourced from D.E. Shaw Group, a real and highly regarded institutional investment firm. This impersonation is used to make the investment appear legitimate and high-value. D.E. Shaw has no affiliation with this platform.

MLM structure: The platform operates with a multi-level marketing component. Members are told they earn passive returns by clicking a button daily or by referring others to join. Referral bonuses and tiered reward structures are designed to turn victims into unwitting recruiters, expanding the network while no real returns are generated.

False documentation: The platform presents a FinCEN MSB registration certificate as regulatory authorization, claiming it is equivalent to a financial licence. It is not. FinCEN registration can be obtained by filing a form and does not permit operating an investment fund or exchange serving Canadian investors.

Withdrawal failure and exit: When investors attempt to withdraw, accounts are locked. Demands for taxes, release fees, or verification documents are made before funds can be returned. Given its documented history as a BG Wealth rebrand, a further rebrand following exposure of the New Era iteration is expected.

New Era Crypto Exchange: Frequently Asked Questions

Is New Era Crypto Exchange a scam?

BC Securities Commission (BCSC), Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) published an investor warning naming New Era Crypto Exchange on April 28, 2026. A warning of that kind is issued when a firm is soliciting investment from residents it is not registered to deal with, which is not lawful and which leaves you outside the protections registration exists to provide.

Is New Era Crypto Exchange legit, and is it registered in Canada?

Anyone selling securities or derivatives to Canadians has to be registered in the province where the client lives. New Era Crypto Exchange drew a warning from BCSC rather than appearing on that register. You can check any firm yourself, free, at aretheyregistered.ca — and a licence number displayed on a website proves nothing, because those are routinely copied from real firms.

Why can't I withdraw my money from New Era Crypto Exchange?

Blocked withdrawals are the point at which most people discover there is a problem. The documented pattern is that a withdrawal request triggers a new demand — a tax, a compliance or insurance fee, an account upgrade, a "liquidity" top-up — and paying it produces another one. No fee releases the balance. On a platform operating this way the balance on the dashboard is a number in a database, not money being held for you. The steps that do help are here.

Why is my New Era Crypto Exchange login not working?

Losing access to a New Era Crypto Exchange account usually means one of two things. The account has been locked from the operator's side, which commonly happens shortly after a withdrawal request or an awkward question. Or the site itself has gone dark, which is what happens when an operation rebrands to a new domain after a warning is published. Neither is resolved by the account manager, and if you are asked to pay anything to restore access, that is the same pattern continuing.

Are New Era Crypto Exchange reviews real?

Read reviews of New Era Crypto Exchange carefully, and note where they sit. Operations like this seed favourable reviews on rating sites, YouTube and social media, and those tend to be the first results a search returns. The review that carries weight is the regulatory record: BC Securities Commission (BCSC), Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) published an investor warning on April 28, 2026. Positive reviews written before a warning, or by accounts with no other history, tell you very little.

Can I get my money back from New Era Crypto Exchange?

That depends far more on how you paid than on who you contact, and we will not pretend otherwise. Card payments can sometimes be charged back. Wires can occasionally be recalled if you reach your bank's fraud team quickly. Crypto sent to an address a receiving exchange can freeze is sometimes reachable. Funds already moved through offshore accounts usually are not. Nobody can reverse a blockchain transaction, and anyone offering to recover your money for an upfront fee is running a second scam. The realistic routes are set out here.

Is neweraex.com a safe website?

neweraex.com is the domain associated with New Era Crypto Exchange in the BCSC investor warning on April 28, 2026. Treat it as unsafe to deposit with. Also be aware that operations under warning frequently reappear on a near-identical domain — a different extension, an added or dropped word — so a site that looks like the one you used may be the same operation rather than a legitimate alternative.

How do I report New Era Crypto Exchange in Canada?

Three places, and they do different things: the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501, the securities regulator for the province you live in, and your local police for a file number. Contact your bank, card issuer or crypto exchange first though, because that is the only step where hours genuinely matter. The full process, with the contact details for every province, is here — or report your case to us and we will tell you which regulator has jurisdiction and what they will need.
